    According to , Bologna hope to use fellow Scotland international Lewis Ferguson's influence to help persuade Miller to join the club this summer. However, Motherwell intend to field Miller against Rangers and remain firm on their £5m valuation, while Udinese are also looking at him.

Last season, he featured in 39 matches, scoring four goals and registering eight assists, while also captaining the team.
