WHAT LEAH WILLIAMSON SAID
Upon receiving the award, the Lionesses star – who had led them to glory after 56 years at the Women's Euro 2022 – shared word of advice for young girls who dream of making it big in women's football.
She said, "{lay football as often as you can for as long as you love it. It’s a simple bit of advice but it will go a long way in your journey to becoming a professional footballer. The best career advice I’ve ever received is to just be true to who you are. Always believe in yourself and never take no for an answer."
